Whether you want to earn your degree fully online or just add another class into your schedule, CCBC Online has an option that's sure to fit your life.
CCBC offers more than 75 fully online degree and certificate options. Wrap-around services are also available online to help students succeed.
Student Martin Kouonedji found the flexibility of CCBC online hard to beat. He has been working on his Polysomnographic (Sleep) Technician Workforce Certificate from CCBC Online while living in Texas and, more recently, Virginia.
“I wanted to do something in the health care field, but I was not attracted to Nursing,” said Kouonedji, who currently works for the Transportation Security Administration. “I was so busy at work, I needed to find a program I could do from home.”
A Cameroon native who has been living in the U.S. for nine years, Kouonedji researched online programs and came across CCBC Online’s Sleep Tech certificate. He worked with an advisor who helped him access financial aid and get started quickly in the program — tuition-free.
“CCBC Online exceeded my expectations. I have gotten so much support, from financial aid who helped me get a full scholarship to my instructors who have been so helpful and responsive. They’re invested in my success. I’m really grateful for CCBC.”— Martin Kouonedji
Students typically earn their Sleep Tech certificate in 12-15 months. In addition to their online classes, the students must perform 420 clinical hours at a sleep laboratory while in the program. Kouonedji will practice his clinicals at a facility in Odenton, Md. and then take the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Exam to earn his RPSGT Certification.
Former CCBC student Sabrina Pereira also chose CCBC Online. She selected the Legal Studies program, which offered a flexible schedule, supportive professors who were also lawyers, and the opportunity for internships.
“Completing my Legal Studies degree with CCBC Online was great for me because I could work during the day and go to my online classes at night,” said Pereira. “The best part about that was that most of our professors were also working, so they really understood. They empathize with you, but they also make you strong and prepare you for the legal field.”
Pereira, who graduated in June 2023 with an associate degree in Legal Studies, transferred to a four-year university and is currently working at the Maryland Comptroller’s Office. She plans to apply to law school after earning her bachelor’s degree.
